The Nockamixon State Park Office is starting a sharing library for individuals to share and read books. We are seeking donations of gently used guide books and children's books as well as fiction and non-fiction books. No dictionaries or encyclopedias please! Please bring donations to the Park Office Monday-Friday 8 am-4 pm or to the Marina Office Saturday and Sunday 8 am-4 pm.
FONSP Board Safe Dock Project
The Friends group is currently soliciting donations for a handicap accessible dock for kayaks and canoes. Mike Quinn, Friends Group Chairperson, reports that the new Board Safe Dock System would make launching a kayak or canoe at Nockamixon a whole lot easier and safer for Pennsylvanians with disabilities.
The project is part of a larger effort to increase accessible recreation opportunities in parks across the state spearheaded by the Pennsylvania Parks and Forest Foundation, a 501 c 3 non profit organization, of which The Friends of Nockamixon is a chapter member.
The Friends group has received a grant from the Harlon’s Fund at the Philadelphia Foundation. The group has also applied for several grants from various organizations to help in the fundraising effort. However, this project needs the support of the local area to be successful. Please consider supporting the Friends group in donating to this worthwhile effort.

Your contribution of any dollar amount is tax deductible and would be greatly appreciated.
